The West Liberty Police Department will be participating in the Buckle Up Kentucky: It's the Law & It's Enforced statewide mobilization during May 21st through June 3rd.  These mobilizations are defined periods of intensified traffic enforcement used as a tool to improve highway safety by focusing on impaired driving and occupant protection (seat belts).

The WLPD will be conducting safety checkpoints in addition to moving patrols during the month of May and the remainder of 2007.  Emphasis will focus on enforcing violations of seatbelt, child restraint and impaired driving laws as well as other traffic law violations.
